Our Philosophy

To end violence within Deaf communities requires statewide and national community engagement with hearing mainstream and culturally specific anti-violence programs and coalitions; first and secondary responders committed to public safety; Deaf service organizations, Deaf educational programs, and key stakeholders. Our mission and vision becomes a reality with diverse input of Deaf leadership invested in collectivism, transparency, integrity, authentic dialogue, and mobilization of action towards individual, social, systematic, and institutional change to end violence in our respective Deaf communities.
